The tyrannon is my preferred phrase for what the bestselling German spiritual teacher Eckhart Tolle calls “the egoic mind.” This is when your mind becomes a totally separate entity, and insubordinate. It begins to rule you, and to ruin you.

You make insane decisions that harm yourself, your friends and your loved ones, even your whole nation and your race! And the higher-up you are, the more lives you will harm.

Here was the tyrannon at work: Mussolini’s insane decision to attack a friendly Greece in 1940, as Waffen-SS general Léon Degrelle wrote in his memoirs, which Margi and I translated.

This was one of the leading causes of the Axis defeat in WWII.

Born of Mussolini’s raw envy of Hitler as a great conqueror —

— the crushing and embarrassing defeat of his unprovoked invasion not only made the Axis look morally terrible, and and beatable, but worst of all, it forced Adolf Hitler to postpone for months his invasion of the USSR to rescue the Italians, and use up critical fuel, airborne divisions and tank units.

Most of all, Germany could have seized Baku on the Caspian by winter 1941, the key Soviet oil city, had it not been for Mussolini’s insane ego.

Hitler’s military plan to defeat the USSR was absolutely logical, practical and realistic.

Forget completely about taking Moscow (a prestigious waste of time, as Napoleon found out in 1812) and concentrate on cutting the Soviet war machine off from its industry, food and oil.

Strategic goals:

–1) isolate or take Leningrad (Saint Petersburg), the vast industrial center, and
.
–2) march through the Ukraine — seizing its agricultural breadbasket and its heavy industry in the east — and then get to Baku, over on the Caspian Sea, cutting off Soviet oil.

No Soviet fuel = no trucks, tanks, trains or planes can budge! No breadbasket = no food for the soldiers! GAME OVER.

That taking of Baku would have shut down Stalin’s war machine.

(A third leg was to cooperate with the Finns to take Murmansk, the big Soviet port up north, and thus scuttle the Anglo-American plan to resupply Stalin from there. But the Finns stubbornly refused to go along.)

The Soviet air force protected British and American cargo ships heading into Murmansk. The Finns obstinately told Hitler they were not interested in Murmansk — only in getting back their own ethnic areas: the Finnish territory lost in 1940 and Karelia (a part of northern Russia inhabited by ethnic Finns).

So, due to egoic insanity, in the month of April 1941 the Germans were down in sunny Greece, saving the egomaniac Mussolini’s butt — instead of roaring through the Ukraine wheatfields and industrial cities to get over to Baku.

With the clock ticking for Germany, the ego of Mussolini forced them to hoist a swastika in front of the Parthenon!

Hitler HAD to occupy Greece so Britain would not rush in to “liberate” it, thence to build RAF airbases there, and then bomb to a smouldering ruin the gigantic and war-critical German oil refinery in Ploiesti, Romania.

Unlike the Germans, the Anglo-Americans did not fail to produce huge numbers of long-range bombers. From Greece the Brits could easily have wiped out the Ploiesti oil refinery. When it was lost in August 1944, the war was basically over. Why did the December 1944 “Battle of the Bulge” fail? The German tanks literally ran out of gas!

What use is a fancy Messerschmitt 262 jet or a King Tiger tank with no fuel? To save fuel, the new and fearsome German jets were hauled onto the runway in 1945 literally by oxen! And after taking off they had enough fuel for just 30 minutes!

Mussolini’s end — he and his mistress were shot, hung upside down, and then cut down to be spat on by communist scum.
